07/04/15 Lower Columbia Summer Steelhead

Despite the 70°+ water, summer steelhead fishing on the lower Columbia persists. Fish the outgoing tide with small plugs like the K-11 Kwikfish or 3.5 Maglip. Reds and oranges will be the preferred colors, but dont be afraid to experiment. Coonshrimp will get em too, fished behind a like colored spin n glow or similar winged bobber.  You will find steelhead tight to shore in water less than 15 feet deep.

Tight lines,

Chris Vertopoulos
