08/07/15 Buoy 10 Report

A surprising blast of early coho bent rods at Buoy Ten during the big tides early this week. By mid week the chinook bite didn’t disappoint on the shrinking ebbs. Many of the kings have been top quality in size and brightness. Herring, anchovies and spinners fished near the bottom dredged up the kings, while coho are often taken closer to the surface. The best king bite has been on the ebb while the coho bite better on the flood. Expect this fishery to hold up well into September till the king closure Sept 8th. After that, big coho are on tap into November.

Good luck and tight lines.
