Back from fishing Westport. Had our friend Mike Sheridan visiting from England. Headed out into the deep water and Mike’s very first Washington salmon was a 30lb king. We caught several more in the teen range on Saturday. Sunday was a different story, very tough fishing only got one keeper in the teens.
Top producer was again a Pro-Troll Flasher with 40inchs of 50lb Seaguar fluorocarbon leader to a Kingfisher Lite soon. Pro-Cure Shrimp Jell scent was working great on the spoon. Finding bait was the key the fish were just off bottom in 240-260 ft of water NW of the harbor mouth. Had the Lowrance zoomed in on the bottom watching for bait and fish, when we marked it would keep trolling over the same patch of water.
