08/25/15 Puget Sound – MA 11 Fishing Report

The salmon fishing has been pretty fair there is a mixture of salmon in the area right now some are here staging to spawn while some others are probably drawn because of the tremendous amount of forage fish in the area.

Mature Chinook are still being caught along the Gig Harbor shoreline and the Girl Scout Camp area and a few at the mouth of the Puyallup River area. I have had some reliable reports of some decent Chinook fishing at the Solo Pt. area.

There have been some immature Chinook being caught near the Clay Banks and Pt. Dalco ranging in size from about 4lbs. to 8lbs.

Coho are moving into the area as well and I have seen the catch numbers increasing daily these fish have been running about 4lbs. to 8lbs.

Pinks, I have had reports of these fish being caught all over the place there are good numbers here right now.
